Guitar Information
The Peavey Vandenberg Signature guitar is a "made in the USA" super strat type guitar released in 1988. It distinguishes itself from other superstrats by a very unique look. It has a slightly arched top and "fiddle cuts" in the body. The lower cutaway also has an extra scooped cutaway for reaching the highest fret. The scale of the bolt-on neck is 24.75 inch (just like a Les Paul). The headstock is reversed and has a 3 degree tilt and matches the color of the body. The bridge is a Kahler 2700 series (2710 Killer)licensed under Floyd Rose double locking tremolo. The pickups have an HS configuration with an Alnico bridge humbucker (14.67kOhm) and an Alnico neck single coil (6.47kOhm) with medium/high output both by Peavey. The pickups are both placed at a 2-4 degree angle (parallell with the body's bottom) to eliminate the string spacing problem when Gibson pickups are combined with Fender spaced tremolos.
My Thoughts
Who doesn't want a pink Vandy, these guitars are great to look at and even better to play, you if keep an eye out you can pick them up at a good price , get looking.
