Guitar Information
The RG1XXV 25th Anniversary was an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2012. It was produced to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the RG line and as a tribute to the original 1987 RG550.
The RG1XXV was produced in Indonesia at the plant which produces instruments for the mid-grade Premium series. Production of this special model was overseen by experienced Japanese luthiers who were brought in from FujiGen.
The RG1XXV features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include DiMarzio/Ibanez pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS tuning stabilizer.
My Thoughts
A 25th anniversary model to commemorate the launch of the RG series was only around for 1 year, Iloved the original RG so to take a step back i time was need it doesn't disappoint great look and great to play.
