Guitar Information
The Charvel 550XL is part of the Charvel Professional Series. Features a neck-through construction, Schaller Floyd Rose Tremolo and an HH pickup configuration. The neck pick up is a Jackson J-200R The Bridge humbucker is said to be the Jackson J-90. The scale of the neck is 25.5" and has 24 frets. The lower horn has extra scooped cutouts to reach the upper frets.


My Thoughts
The 550xl was the start point of the more expensive professional guitars made by Charvel, it plays like a dream and looks great, heavier in feel then the classic series but what it adds in weight it makes up for in sustain.
