The Charvel CDS was designed and produced in the 1992. The CDS was manufactured in Japan at the Chushin Gakki factory as were all the import Charvel guitars in this era. These guitars never sold well as the world had now discovered grunge and the days of purple sunburst were over.

My thoughts

These guitars go lost due to the increase of grunge and all the guitars that came with it, purple sunburst Charvel definitely did not fit in in Seattle, but its a great looking guitar and plays great like all Japanese guitars of this era.
